Chris Fink joined the Zochowski lab in the fall of 2008. He is currently investigating in silico the effects of neurons’ individual phase response curves (PRC’s) upon the collective dynamics of neural networks. He explores various external factors which affect PRC’s, and he characterizes how these changes in PRC’s in turn affect network dynamics. He is especially interested in how the modulation of external factors may indirectly affect network synchronization, and he hopes his research will provide insight into epilepsy.
Outside the lab, Chris enjoys hiking and camping with his wife, running marathons, and being all in for the Michigan football team.
Chris' work is supported by a NSF research fellowhip.
